How do I get started?

Simply click “Book Now” located on any page! Complete your client and pet profile(s). Then, a representative of Golden Tails Dog Walking will contact you to book a Meet and Greet. After we’ve met, you can schedule dog walk services at your convenience!

Can we meet with you?
Of course! We want to make sure both you and your pet(s) feel comfortable with your Golden Tails dog walker. We’ll be in touch to set up a time to meet for a free consultation in your home prior to beginning any services.
How much advance notice should I provide to request a service?
It helps if you schedule your services as soon as possible to ensure we have availability to care for your furry friend!
Are you bonded and insured?
Yes, we are licensed, bonded, and insured. Golden Tails Dog Walking is also a member of Pet Sitters International (PSI), which means we voluntarily uphold a set of high-professional standards with a commitment to the safety and care of pets.
How am I billed and when is payment due?
Golden Tails Dog Walking accepts payment by debit and credit card. Regular dog walks are charged on a weekly basis. Any additional services will be discussed with you and then charged when services are complete.
Is there a last-minute cancellation fee?

When we reserve services for your pup, we organize our schedule to ensure their needs are met at your requested time. We stick to a strict no overbooking policy, so we won’t accept another pet owner’s request if we are already booked.

We understand that it can be inconvenient to pay for services you don’t need. Therefore, you can cancel up to twenty-four hours in advance at no charge.

However, last-minute cancellations made with less than twenty-four hours notice will be billed at full-price.

Is there a fee for last-minute booking?
Visits booked less than 24 hours in advance will incur a $15 late booking fee to cover the cost of same-day arrangements.
Do you need a key to my home?

Yes. Golden Tails Dog Walking will need two sets of house keys and at least one FOB or key card if you live in a private community. Your dog walker will keep one key with them to complete the visit and the other key will be kept locked in a safe at the Golden Tails Dog Walking office in the event of an emergency.

If you need your keys back, we are happy to drop them off for a $20 fee. Most clients find it more convenient to allow Golden Tails to hold onto their keys between services for future bookings.

Do you also offer pet sitting?
Yes! My team and I offer pet sitting services by request.
Do you take care of dogs in your home?
Yes! My team and I offer in-home boarding services by request.

Meet & Greet

Your Golden Tails dog walker will stop by your home to meet you and your fur baby! We’ll review your pet’s routine, supplies, and set-up area. Be sure to have your client and pet profile(s) completely filled out before this visit so you have the opportunity to review the service agreement and policies before we meet.

Key Policy

During our meet and greet, we’ll need to collect two house keys. If you live in a private community, we’ll also need a FOB or key card for access. Only have one key? No problem! We can arrange to have a copy made for you. Just ask during the Meet and Greet, and we can discuss the small added fee to have the copy made.

Booking Confirmations


Prior to booking, you’ll be asked to create an online profile for you and your pets. It is vital that you keep your profiles up-to-date with any changes regarding your pet’s routine, food, medications, and care instructions.

Once registered, please use the online scheduling system to book your visits. All visits must be scheduled no less than 24 hours in advance.

In order to move forward with your request, visits must be confirmed through the system. You will receive an email notification when your requests are confirmed.

Payment

You are welcome to cancel services at your convenience up to twenty-four hours in advance at no charge. Last-minute cancellations made with less than twenty-four hours notice will be billed at full-price.

Sharing Visits

For insurance and safety reasons, we do not share the responsibilities of pet care with any third party in order to avoid inconsistent food intake, wrong medication administration and any miscommunications. Any such arrangement will result in a breach of contract.
